Hey, my name is Chukwuka. My friends call me Chuks, you can too🙂. I am a Product Designer fascinated by how products and design influence people’s lives.
In the past 4+ years, I have worked with some of the most ambitious companies such as Paxful, Sterling Bank, Vetsark, Gen Financials, ScholarX, and many more.
I am currently building Spire and Untitled Designers.
I am part of a strong community of African designers built by Meaningful Gigs for Creative, Marketing, and Product teams who want highly skilled and diverse designers.
I doubled as an IC and a lead for Gen. As the lead, I was responsible for all design efforts — brand, art & design direction, Marketing, and Product — and was involved in strategy. As an IC, I worked on the web side of the Product, occasionally working on marketing needs too. I worked with a fantastic team of 4 designers; Akin Theodox (Brand designer), Oselu Irabor (Illustrations), Caleb Uzuegbunam (Mobile App Designer), and Quadri (Marketing Designer). This, of course, was in addition to the PM, Compliance team, Engineering team, and Management.
I currently work as a Product Designer in the Payments Application and Business Automation department with Sterling Bank, one of Nigeria’s most innovative and valuable banking brands. In my time here, I have employed diverse skills and tools in designing financial solutions that empower small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to scale and contribute to the economy of the country as a whole.
Paxful is a global cryptocurrency trading platform where you can safely trade with millions of users using 300+ payment methods. I joined Paxful as a Senior Product Designer, working with the accounts team to shape the web experience of over 6 million customers.
I joined as a solo designer and grew the design team to a team of 4. During my time at Vestark, I built and managed 4 products ranging from B2C to B2B. Projects varied from UX Research to Design, to UI Design, to complete responsive redesigns, to UX strategy, allowing me to grow all these skills in a real-life scenario.
I was part of an in-house team at this agency. I worked on projects in different industries, from Education to Food to Housing to Health. This allowed me to have a good amount of understanding of multiple sectors.
During my time here, I focused on designing products to help citizens improve the state of governance in the country.
